The Bicycle Coalition of Maineis the statewide voice of bicyclists and pedestrians and a clearing house for bike-ped related information. Since 1992, the Coalition has led the effort to make Maine better for biking and walking by protecting the rights and safety of bicyclists and pedestrians through education, advocacy, legislation and encouragement. The Coalition sponsors the April Great Maine Bike Swaps in Portland and Orono, the June Maine Women's Ride in Freeport, the July Maine Lobster Ride & Roll in Camden, and the September weeklong ride, BikeMaine.
