Natural Wonder. Endless Discovery.

Borestone Mountain
Moosehead Pinnacle Pursuit

The mountains in the Moosehead Pinnacle Pursuit offer panoramic views from each corner of the Moosehead Lake region. This challenge offers the perfect itinerary for a climb each day of your week-long stay. Don’t have a week? Get started early each day and shorten your agenda by hiking Borestone and Number Four Mountain on one day and Kineo and Big Moose on another. We suggest you leave Whitecap and Eagle Rock each for a one day hike.

The beauty of this challenge is that you can hike at your own pace. Hit all six peaks in one year or three. Finish all six hikes and become a registered member of the Moosehead Pinnacle Pursuit! You can download the application online or pick one up at the Moosehead Lake Visitor Center. Make sure you write down the date you climbed each mountain and the time you reached each summit. Once your application has been renewed, you will receive an official MPP confirmation letter, patch, and sticker that are only issued to successful hikers.

Looking for a bit more challenge? Become an Ultra member by completing the six summits in 48 hours. Become a Winter member by completing the six summits between January 1 and April 15 of the same year.
